For me, snow and the holiday lights are truly magical!
I live in Minnesota, and it snowed all day Sunday. Everything is now a bright white, and it has if we were living in a snow globe. The first snow is always so pretty. I love sitting in my favorite chair watching the flakes flutter down. It's so peaceful and quiet. The only people out were shoveling their driveways.
Another part of the season that is very special to me are the lights. When I was little, my parents used to drive up to a big hill in town, where we could look down and see all the pretty Christmas lights. Even as an adult, I love all the beautiful lights on the houses, bushes and trees. It gets dark so early, and they remind me of the bright spot in life - the embodiment of hope.
